Anchor Bay Yacht Racing Association
Clinton River Catalina Association (CRCA)
CRCA Fun Race
Hello
Fellow Sailors,
Once
again, it's time for the annual Fun Race on June 5th,
2010 -- That's a major on FUN and a minor on RACE.
As always, we make up the scoring as the day
evolves (getting the most laughs from the
committee boat members increases your chances of
winning).
The
course will be counter-clockwise from 1CR, 30 degrees
to mark "B," then 270 degrees to mark
"A," return to 1CR on a course of 150
degrees - all marks to port.
The June 5th,
single-start sequence will begin at 12 noon at 1CR
with a warning horn followed by:
-
12:05 p.m.
- Green flag up/short horn
-
12:06 p.m.
- "P" flag up (blue flag with white
square) / short horn
-
12:09 p.m.
- "P" flag down/long horn
-
12:10 p.m.
- Green flag down/Gun or long horn - RACE BEGINS
Sail
with one sail, all sails, spinnakers, whatever . . .
just make sure you have FUN!
After
the race, there will be a picnic followed by the
CRCA general membership meeting and race awards at the
gazebo at Markley Marine near the river cut.
Further details regarding the picnic will be
forthcoming.
Hope
you'll be able to join us for this fun-filled afternoon!
